Io: Where better than a tree for a treebunni to live?
Crinkle: Yes, I suppose a tree is the best place for a treebunni. Do you ever leave your tree?
Io: There are those who say that I’m always out of my tree. Do you know what that means?
Crinkle: I think it probably means that they think you’re a little eccentric.
Io: A little eesen trick? I’m not any sort of trick. I’m the genuine article. I’m one hundred per cent treebunni.
Crinkle: Do you eat leaves, or nuts?
Io: Nuts? They say I’m that, too. Some folk are just plain mad. Nuts. I ask you. Do I look like nuts?
Crinkle: They’d probably think that I’m nuts as well, trying to save the Greenwood.
Io: Save the Greenwood? You humans really are mad. Nuts you can save in a hole. Rain you can save in a leaf. But a forest? There’s nowhere big enough to save that!
Crinkle: Io, I think we’d better start again. I’m Crinkle and I’m trying to save... to prevent... the Greenwood from being destroyed.
Io: Why didn’t you say so before, stupid girl, instead of all that nonsense about tricks and nuts? You want my help, do you?
Crinkle: Yes, please. Could you go to the Wishing Ring? You’ll meet some others there who want to help.
Io: Others eh? I just hope they’re not as mad as you are.
